REBLOG: Oyate Ominicye - Lakota Word of the Day - Yuonihan

I have always been fascinated by the Lakota tribes which makes up one part of the Očhéthi Šakówiŋ - Seven Council Fires.  I hope that by passing on their post, people will grow to love the First Nation as I do.

With respect: *This is a REBLOG from the Oglala Lakota Plan . Please visit their wonderful site for more information.

Lakota Word of the Day: Yuónihaŋ (V.) – to honor somebody, be polite to, treat with respect, pay deference to.
